Evidence unearthed by Lebanese police and UN investigators links the Syrian-backed Hezbollah movement to the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri.

Evidence unearthed by Lebanese police and UN investigators links the Syrian-backed Hezbollah movement to the 2005 assassination of former Lebanese prime minister Rafiq Hariri.

The evidence is based on an examination of Lebanese phone records, which suggest Hezbollah officials communicated with owners of cell phones allegedly used to coordinate the detonation that killed Hariri. A UN prosecutor plans to indict members of Hezbollah by the end of the year.
