Believe it or not, one in 20 schoolchildren in Great Britain thinks Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was Germany’s football team coach.

Believe it or not, one in 20 schoolchildren in Great Britain thinks Nazi leader Adolf Hitler was Germany’s football team coach.

Not only this, a survey has also revealed that one in six youngsters believes Auschwitz is a World War II theme park while one in 20 thinks that the Holocaust was a celebration at the end of the war, the British media reported.

Twelve per cent even believe McDonald’s Golden Arches are a symbol of Remembrance Day and 40 per cent don’t know it falls on November 11, according to the survey.

A study by war veterans’ charity Erskin asked 2,000 children aged nine to 15 about both world wars — a quarter thought a nuclear bomb was dropped on Pearl Harbour and one in 10 thought the SS was Enid Blyton’s Secret Seven.
