India will conclude a "robust" free trade pact with the EU by this autumn, leaving the delicate matter of sorting out any differences to a later date, commerce and industry minister Anand Sharma told a forum of Indian and British businesses here on Monday.

The two sides are likely to ink the pact in September, an Indian official told HT. This will follow the 14th round of talks on April 24-27 and a meeting in June between Sharma and EU trade Commissioner Karel De Gucht. The accord is known as the Broad Based Trade and Investment Agreement.
