Eight persons, including an Indian, were killed and seven others injured when the vehicle they were travelling in fell into a river in Bajhang district in western Nepal, police said on Monday.
The accident took place when the jeep carrying 15 people heading for district headquarter Chainpur fell into Seti river in Mauribagar in Bajhang district last evening, police said.
The deceased have been identified as Chakrajung Bahadur Singh, Deepak Bhandari, Dev Raj Giri, Bishnu Giri and driver Basanta Joshi. Indian national Firoz Muslim was also among dead. The two others have not been identified so far.
