An NRI teenager fell to her death from a multi-storey parking after failing to come to terms with the murder of her sister by a serial sex offender, an inquest heard in London.

Nishma Raithathaat fell to her death from the car park at a shopping centre in north-west London in April just before her 16th birthday.

Nishima's sister Jeshma was abducted as she walked home from school three days before her 18th birthday in 2005.

The senior secondary student, an aspiring singer and actress, was sexually assaulted and stabbed by Viktor Dembovskis, 47, a Latvian who had been allowed into UK despite having two convictions for rape in his native country.
Nishma, who was 12 when her sister died, took time off school to try to come to terms with the trauma.
