Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will be put on an international "wanted list" if it was conclusively proved that the Jewish state's spy agency 'Mossad' was behind the murder of a senior Hamas leader here, Dubai police chief warned today.

"Mossad chief Meir Dagan and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu will head the list (of an international arrest warrant) if it is proven that Mossad is behind the murder," Dubai police chief Lt Gen Dahi Khalfan said.

He accused Dagan of planning and executing the assassination of Hamas leader Mahmoud Al-Mabhouh in a Dubai hotel on January 20 in a cold-war style like murder.

Lt Gen Khalfan said that Dubai police still has many of the evidence against suspects in the crime, pointing out on the genetic fingerprint of "one of the perpetrators."

Dubai police have published details of 26 suspects together with passport photographs and blamed Israel's secret service Mossad for the killing.

Khalfan said that most of the 26 people so far linked to the Mabhouh's murder are to be found in Israel.

"The majority of the murderers whose names have been announced ... Are to be found in Israel," Khalfan told Arabic-language Al-Khaleej daily.

"Dagan, the boss, should admit the crime ... Or present a categorical denial.. But his current attitude shows he is afraid. Let him be a man, and tell the truth," he said.
