Pop icon Michael Jackson's mother, Katherine is worrying herself sick after her son's death sparking health fears.

The 'King of Pop's mother is reportedly tormenting herself over whether she could have done more to prevent the star's demise on June 25, Daily Star reported.

Katherine, 79, who had a stroke four years ago and suffers from high blood pressure and diabetes, is now so frail that she has to be monitored 24 hours a day.

"She now requires oxygen and has been so weak since Michael died she can barely walk unaided. This pressure is tearing her part. At her age and in her fragile state of health, more exertion could trigger another stroke," family friend Kevin MCLin said.

The family matriarch who has been granted custody of Jackson's three children Prince Michael, 12, Paris, 11, Blanket, 7 believes that she could have saved the pop legend.

"She is asking questions but the answers don't make sense. She wants to know how Michael passed the physical examination he was given by AEG. Something has to be wrong with this because he had all of these problems how could he possibly pass a test like that?" he added.

"Katherine is upset, angry and confused as to why her son was allowed to go ahead with the tour," MClin said.
