External affairs minister SM Krishna will meet Hina Rabbani Khar in Tokyo on Sunday during which he is expected to raise the issue of terrorism with his Pakistani counterpart following revelations by LeT handler Abu Jundal on the 2008 Mumbai carnage.
The two leaders will be meeting on the sidelines of a conference on Afghanistan in Tokyo.
Such a meeting between the two ministers comes after recent talks between their Foreign Secretaries on the crucial issues of peace and security, including terrorism, Jammu and Kashmir and promotion of friendly exchanges.
During the secretary-level talks, foreign secretary Ranjan Mathai had shared the information gathered from LeT terrorist Jundal who revealed that he, along with LeT founder Hafiz Saeed, was in the control room in Pakistan during 26/11 Mumbai carnage in 2008.
Mathai also shared the information on Pakistani passport and Pakistan's domestic identity cards issued to Jundal in the name of Riyasat Ali to the visiting delegation, indicating the involvement of Pakistan state agencies in the Mumbai attack.
India also asked the Pakistani side to find out how such crucial national documents were issued to Jundal and to find out who were behind providing the passport and the two ID cards to Jundal.
