Malaysia: 2 bloggers detained for fuelling 'racism'

world Updated: May 07, 2013 19:43 IST

Two bloggers were on Tuesday detained in Malaysia for their postings that allegedly fuelled racial sentiments and spread lies in this multi-ethnic country.

Papa Gomo and King Jason were picked up by police, Federal Commercial Crime Investigation Department (CCID) director Syed Ismail Syed Azizan said.

"We will not rest until those who spread lies and post racial messages are detained... we expect to make more arrests soon," he told a press conference, adding that the duo would be remanded on Wednesday.

Another blogger 'Milo Suam' had been released on bail, he said.
