John William Moyer, was pronounced guilty on Wednesday of groping of a woman playing Minnie Mouse at Walt Disney World. Judge Wayne Shoemaker imposed the sentence for the June incident.
Brittney Duncan McGoldrick told prosecutors at the Orange County Courthouse on Monday that she had pushed Moyer away from her after the incident. She said that she had to do everything she could to get his hands off her breasts.
Emory Moyer, the adult son of John Moyer, 60, testified to the court that his father was a nice guy who would not touch a woman inappropriately. Moyer also claimed his innocence and said that he was not guilty of the crime he was charged with. Moyer does not have any criminal records and this is his first offence.
According to the sentence, Moyer has to write a letter of apology to the victim, Brittney Duncan McGoldrick. He also is under supervised probation for 180 days, must complete 50 hours of community service within four months, pay $1,000 in court costs and submit to a mental evaluation with treatment, if necessary.
