My colleague might poison me: office complaints get quirky

world Updated: Aug 17, 2009 00:20 IST

Do you suspect your co-worker may poison you, or one of your colleague is a pimp? Some of the employees do think so and have lodged complaints about the same with their managers!

These are part of the 20 most strange complaints received from employees about their co-workers, compiled after a survey of thousands of hiring managers in the US.

The list also includes complaints that 'a male employee keeps using the ladies' room because the men's room is not as tidy', and that an employee 'has bells on her shoes.'

The nationwide survey was conducted online in the US by research and consultancy firm Harris Interactive on behalf of the country's leading job site CareerBuilder.Com. It asked the hiring managers and HR professionals to name the strangest complaints they have received from the employees.

The other such complaints included the co-worker being too sun-tanned, having big hair and eating all of the good cookies available in the office.

Another such complaint said that the co-worker was 'so polite, it's infuriating,' and 'employee's body is magnetic and keeps de-activating my magnetic access card.'

People also complained about employees being personally responsible for a federally-mandated tax increase, while some others complained about a colleague's annoyance over the company not providing a place for naps during break time.

Some complained about a co-worker only wearing slippers or socks at work, having a wrong aura, smelling like road- ramps, breathing too loudly, wanting 'to check a co-worker for ticks' and wearing pajamas to work. There were also complaints about 8:00 am being too early to get up for work and some employee spending too much time caring for stray cats around the building.
