US President Barack Obama would address the Muslim world June 4 from Egypt which the White House said is the heart of the Arab world.
"On June the 4th, the President will give a speech in Egypt. The speech will be about America's relations with the Muslim world," White House Press Secretary Robert Gibbs announced at his daily press briefing.
Gibbs said the country and the timing of the speech was selected by Obama himself. After becoming the President, Obama had announced to address the Muslim world within first 100 days of his presidency.
However, it has come his 100 days in White House.
When asked about the reason for selecting Egypt as the location for his speech, Gibbs said: "I think obviously it is a country that in many ways represents the heart of the Arab world and I think will be a trip, an opportunity for the President to address and discuss our relationship with the Muslim world."
