Over 100 tombstones were desecrated by Lashkar-e-Taiba (LeT) activists at an Ahmadi graveyard in the Model Town area of Lahore on Monday. Extremists consider Ahmadi as non-Muslims.

The tombstones were broken by men who identified themselves as Taliban but later police confirmed that they were LeT supporters.

Most of the graves were of members of the Ahmadi community who are not allowed burial in Muslim graveyards. Some are graves of Ahmadis whose remains were forcibly taken out of graveyards.
