A trainer jet of the Pakistan Air Force crashed near Faisalabad in Punjab province on Saturday though the pilot and trainer pilot ejected safely.
The FT-17 jet was on a routine training mission when it crashed 25 miles west of the industrial city of Faisalabad. No loss of property and injuries on the ground were reported, PAF officials said.
Initial reports suggested the crash was caused by a technical fault. The PAF has instituted a board of inquiry to determine the exact cause of the crash.
