Pakistani security forces captured eight suspected Taliban militants and seized arms and ammunition during search and clearance operations in the Swat valley and Waziristan tribal region, the military said on Saturday.
Troops apprehended seven suspects and recovered arms and ammunition during search and clearance operations conducted at several places in the Swat valley.
Two suspects also surrendered to security forces in this area. One suspected militant was apprehended during an operation at Jani Khel in Jandola sector of South Waziristan.
Troops also seized arms and ammunition while sanitising several areas and consolidating their positions in Shakai and Razmak sectors, the military said.
