Blaming President Asif Ali Zardari and former military ruler Prevez Musharraf for current political crisis in Pakistan, dozens of country's citizens went on hunger strike and demanded reinstatement of former chief justice Iftikhar Mohammad Chaudhry.

Shouting slogans like "We want democracy, not dictatorship," "We want Justice," the Pakistanis belonging to different political affiliations also demanded end of governor's rule in Punjab during their day-long hunger strike outside their country's consulate.

They shouted slogans against Zardari and former president Musharraf holding them responsible for the current troubles the country is facing both on political and security front.

About a dozen police officers kept a close watch on the demonstrators.

Representatives of Tehrik-i-Insaf, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N), Pakistan Freedom Forum, Pakistan-US Lawyers Forum, and Pukhtunkhwa Movement were among those who staged the hunger strike.
