LTTE today rejected Colombo's claim of killing Tiger chief V Prabhakaran and assured of his safety and well-being.

According to their official website tamilnet, LTTE's International Relations Head S Pathmanathan on Tuesday accused Colombo of treachery in the killing of the political wing leaders B Nadesan and S Puleedevan.

Pathmanathan said, "The Sri Lankan Government may have declared a military victory. But it does not realize that it is a hollow victory. It has completely lost the trust and confidence of the Tamils in Sri Lanka."

"It is a crime against humanity that needs to be investigated," he further said.

The LTTE slammed the Sri Lankan government and accused it of annihilating the political structure of the organisation.

Lankan Government commandos on Monday stormed into the last tiny patch of jungle held by the guerrillas, killing Tamil Tiger founder and leader Velupillai Prabhakaran and his two deputies as they tried to flee the onslaught.
