Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in a New Year message to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh expressed his readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation.

Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin in a New Year message to his Indian counterpart Manmohan Singh expressed his readiness to further develop bilateral cooperation.

"The friendly relations between Moscow and Delhi have achieved a new level of privileged strategic partnership. We are ready to further interact with our Indian colleagues in a constructive manner to activate the entire complex of bilateral relations," Putin wrote to Singh.

According to the Government Press Service, Putin has also sent New Year messages to US President Barack Obama, Chinese President Hu and Premier Wen, German Chancellor Angela Merkel and some other world leaders.
