Eminent yoga guru Swami Ramdev on Friday dared China to open its borders with Nepal to prove it's a better neighbor than India.
Challenging China to allow Nepalese citizens to freely enter the country and work like they do in India, Ramdev stated that if it fails to do so it will expose the country's ulterior motives in Nepal.
"There are nearly 50 lakh Nepalese working in India. China should also allow such access to Nepali citizens. If it doesn’t it will expose its evil design of trying to gain control over Nepal," he said in a press conference.
Swami Ramdev who arrived at Kathmandu on Friday afternoon to conduct a six-day yoga camp also spoke about a host of other issues including the political situation in Nepal.
"Democracy in Nepal will be strong if the 25 parties in Nepal come together for the greater good of the country. There should be no more than 5 parties," he commented.
Despite the growing demand from a section for restoration of monarchy and naming Nepal as a Hindu state, Ramdev opined that democracy and secularism would benefit the Himalayan nation more.
Patanjali Yog Peeth is in the process of starting three service projects across Nepal and train 100,000 yoga instructors within the next one year.
