Nearly three dozen security personnel deployed at Tribhuvan International Airport (TIA) have fallen ill, according to police.

Out of total 325 security personnel deployed at the airport in the east of Kathmandu, some 32 personnel have suddenly fallen ill this morning, said a police official at the Police Control Room.

The policemen had complained of pain in their abdomen and some of them were vomiting. All of them have been admitted to the TU Teaching Hospital at Maharajgunj.

The doctors are suspecting food poisoning for the outbreak of the illness.
