A passenger plane carrying more than 160 people was diverted to a remote Australia mining town after crew noticed an odour in the cabin, the airline said on Monday.
The Qantas Boeing 767 travelling from the northern city of Darwin to Brisbane was diverted to Mount Isa in western Queensland state on Sunday, a spokeswoman said.
"It's wasn't a smoke smell. They think it may have come from the lavatory," she told AFP.
Qantas said the flight was diverted as a safety precaution and the plane landed safely without incident.
