Two suspected suicide bombers blew themselves up when they were intercepted by police in Pakistan's restive northwest today, officials said.
The militants were intercepted by a police patrol in Karak district of the North West Frontier Province.
They detonated explosives wrapped around their bodies when the policemen asked them to present themselves for a body search, officials said.
No one was injured by the blast.
Police later took the bodies of the militants into custody and launched a search for their accomplices.
