A suicide bomber rammed a vehicle packed with explosives into a police station in northwest Pakistan on Friday, killing three policemen and trapping others under the rubble, police said.
"The bomber rammed the car into the police station," Bannu police chief Iqbal Marwad told AFP from the garrison town.
"There are three policemen dead and 12 injured. The number of casualties is likely to rise because the injured are being pulled out from the rubble of the police station," he added.
The attack came as a huge bomb blast damaged the local headquarters of Pakistan's premier intelligence agency in the northwestern city of Peshawar and killed at least seven people.
"It appears to be a suicide attack, Bakakhel police station building has been damaged very badly, three policemen are dead and five others are injured," Bannu local police official Hameed Khan told AFP.
