At least 13 persons, including 10 from the same family, have gone missing in floods and landslides in Nepal while hundreds of families have been displaced as rain continue to batter the country.
Lal Bahadur Rokaya of Laha-5 village and nine members of his family have been missing since Monday after Karamgad river, a tributary of Bheri, swept away their house while they were sleeping, the police said.
The police said that there was a very slim chance of rescuing them alive.
Other three houses of the village were also swept away but the inhabitants managed to run away.
More than 2O families have also been displaced by the flood.
Meanwhile, Three persons were reported missing in Khotang and Jhapa district in eastern Nepal.
Police and army personnel have been mobilised for the rescue operations.
More than 200 houses have been damaged by the floods and landslides across the country, the police said.
Torrential rains occurring in various parts of the country since past few days.
