Three people were killed and 10 wounded in a shooting on Saturday night at a community centre for the gay community in Tel Aviv, police said.
The three fatalities included a young man and a woman, while the third person was still being identified, police spokesman Mickey Rosenfeld told the German Press Agency.
Media report said that three people died and 14 were wounded.
Witnesses said the shooter, who was dressed in black, opened fire in all directions inside the building and fled. Police described the attack as a "criminal act" against the gay community.
Two of the wounded were in critical condition, police said. They ruled out the possibility of a "terror attack." All gay and lesbian bars in Tel Aviv were closed immediately after the attack as a preventive measure.
