Travellers rate Mumbai as the dirtiest

A global travel survey has rated Mumbai as the dirtiest city. While the Maharashtra capital figured in bottom 10 on many parameters, Tokyo topped the list of 40 cities for being the cleanest and safest city.
A global travel survey has rated Mumbai as the dirtiest city. While the Maharashtra capital figured in bottom 10 on many parameters, Tokyo topped the list of 40 cities for being the cleanest and safest city.
About 75,000 travellers polled in the survey by travel portal TripAdvisor rated world cities such as London, Dubai and New York on many aspects.

"Barring shopping options (27), travellers rated Mumbai in the bottom 10 in the other nine parameters," stated a statement by TripAdvisor's India office. Travellers felt Mumbai was the worst when it came to commuting, too. The city also got big thumbs down for taxi service, public services as a value-for-money destination.
