At least 16 people have been killed and 25 others sustained injuries when a passenger bus met with an accident at Kandamando area of Doti district in western Nepal on Wednesday morning.
The ill fated bus, which was heading towards Achham district from Dhangadi of western Nepal fell 300 feet down from a hilly road.
Those who sustained injuries in the accident have been admitted to Doti District Hospital for medical treatment, according to the police.
Meanwhile the death toll in the accident that occurred in Sindhuli district in the central Nepal on Tuesday has climbed to 16, the police said.
The accident had occurred when the passenger bus heading towards Banepa in the east of Kathmandu from Khurkot area plunged into Sunkoshi river at Sindhuli district near Tibet border in the north-east of Kathmandu.
Nepal's hilly roads are accident prone mainly during rainy season due to its poor maintenance and old vehicles.
