Two children were killed and several other persons, including women and children, injured when an explosive device went off on Saturday in Panjgur area of Balochistan province in southwest Pakistan, officials said.
The incident occurred in Chitkan area of Panjgur.
The remote-controlled explosive device was planted in a motorcycle parked beside a road, officials of the paramilitary Frontier Corps said.
The device was detonated as a vehicle of a law enforcement agency carrying troops was passing by.
Five security personnel were injured by the blast.
The injured were taken to a nearby hospital.
Troops cordoned off the area and launched a search operation.
