Two men were killed when a light plane crashed in a riverbed near New Zealand North Island city of Hastings Sunday.
Police said another plane spotted the crashed Tomahawk near State Highway 50 near the small settlement of Maraekakaho Sunday morning, Xinhua quoted Radio New Zealand as saying.
A rescue helicopter crew was dispatched but found both men were already dead.
Police said the aircraft is understood to have been practising low flying in the area.
