A single-engine plane crashed in the Brazilian state of Minas Gerais, killing two people, authorities said.

The plane, which began its trip in Vutoporanga, went out of control and crashed on Saturday near the city of Comendador Gomes, the fire department said.

The two unidentified men in the small plane were killed when the aircraft hit some trees and crashed.

Air force crash investigators are trying to determine what caused the small plane to go down.
