Two security personnel were killed and four more injured when a security forces convoy was targeted with a roadside bomb in Pakistan's lawless North Waziristan tribal region on Sunday.

The convoy was heading from Bannu in the North West Frontier Province to Miranshah, the main town in North Waziristan Agency, when the remote-controlled bomb went off in Mir Ali area, TV news channels reported.

The security forces retaliated by attacking militant hideouts at Miranshah Road. Curfew was imposed this morning in different parts of North Waziristan, including Miranshah, for two days.
