Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi has said that United Nations would likely to investigate into the assassination of former prime minister Benazir Bhutto, the Associated Press of Pakistan reported Saturday.

Qureshi said there was a possibility that United Nations would soon announce the setting up of a fact-finding mission to probe Bhutto's assassination.

He further said that the UN and Pakistani government would jointly bear the expenditure of the investigations.

Benazir Bhutto, also chairperson of Pakistan Peoples Party, was assassinated in a gun shot and suicide blast attack Dec 27, 2007 while she was returning from an election rally in the garrison city of Rawalpindi.
