The United States today announced it is imposing sanctions against "seven foreign entities" including Venezuela's state oil company as part of new efforts to contain Iran's nuclear ambitions.
The United States on Tuesday announced it is imposing sanctions against "seven foreign entities" including Venezuela's state oil company as part of new efforts to contain Iran's nuclear ambitions.
"I'm here to announce that Secretary of State (Hillary) Clinton has decided to impose sanctions on seven foreign entities under the Iran sanctions act of 1996," her deputy James Steinberg told reporters.

These include Petroleos de Venezuela, or PDVSA.
