The United States has handed over to Iraqi authorities five condemned members of Saddam Hussein's regime, including two half-brothers of the former Iraqi dictator, state television reported on Friday.
"Watban Ibrahim Hassan and Sabawi Ibrahim al-Tikriti have been turned over to the justice ministry," the television report said.
Former defence minister Sultan Hashem Ahmad and ex-generals Hussein Rashid al-Tikriti and Aziz Saleh Numan were also handed to the Iraqi authorities.
All five were sentenced to death in separate trials of officials from the Baath party, Iraq's ruling party under Hussein.
The five were among 200 Iraqi detainees held by US forces in Camp Cropper, a detention centre near Baghdad until the base was returned to Iraqi control on July 15, 2010.
Saddam Hussein himself spent three years in Camp Cropper until his execution on December 2006.
