Rapper/hip-hop artist Snoop Dogg (aka Snoop Lion) has launched a photo sharing app for iOS and Android devices which lets users decorate their images with virtual Snoop Dogg-themed stickers.
The application, which was developed with retailer Upper Playground, developer 99centbrains and marketing firm Cashmere Agency, is called Snoopify.
Users of the app, who will presumably also be fans of the artist, can take pictures and then add virtual stickers and graphics, some of which are free and some of which are available via an in-app purchase. These virtual stickers are described by 99centbrains on their website as "never-before-seen graphics of Snoop, ranging from classic Snoop Dogg to Rasta-inspired Snoop Lion looks and phrases."
The photo app allows users to share their Snoop Dogg-themed images via social networks such as Instagram, Facebook and Twitter, though fans are encouraged to use the hashtag #snoopifyapp when doing so.
Earlier in 2013 Snoop Dogg launched the iOS app Snoop Lion Reincarnated Track Notes which provides background information on his latest album and movie "Snoop Lion Reincarnated," and he has lent his name to a rhythm-fighting game titled "Way of the Dogg" which will be available on iOS and Android as well as across gaming platforms Xbox 360 and Playstation 3.
The developer behind the game, 99centbrains, was also behind the creation of an app titled Major Lazer's Lazergram, for Major Lazer -- a musical project from DJ/producer Diplo. Major Lazer's Lazergram takes a similar approach to Snoop Dogg's app allowing users to decorate their photos with "original Major Lazer artwork".
