Bajaj two-wheeler sales up 1%

Bajaj Auto Ltdon Mondayreported a marginal rise of one per cent in total two-wheeler sales in December at 1,54,945 units, as against 1,54,101 units in the same month a year ago.
The company's motorcycle sales, was up 3 per cent at 1,48,263 units in December as against 1,43,727 units in the same month in 2004, a company release said.
Sales of three-wheelers increased by 26 per cent during December at 18,534 units as against 14,705 units in the same month a year ago.
Total two and three wheeler sales during the reporting month increased three per cent to 1,73,479 units as compared to 1,68,806 units in December 2004, it said adding that exports of two and three-wheelers combined registered a jump of 63 per cent at a total of 18,534 units exported in the month as against 11,360 units in the same period last year.
