Remember John Abraham vrooming about in his Hayabusa in Dhoom (2004) or the ever-so-unforgetabble ‘Yeh Dosti...’ sequence of Amitabh Bachchan and Dharmendra atop the Ariel 350 in Sholay (1975)? What if you could now see these mean machines live? Just head to the 13th edition of the Indian Auto Expo at India Expo Mart, Greater Noida, from February 5-9. For the first time, the expo will have a dedicated pavillion, aptly titled Bollywood Motors, to these fancy set of wheels.

Auto enthusiasts are thrilled about this Bollywood stall. Abhishek Manchanda, 23, a student, says “I have been a regular visitor at Auto Expo and, this time, it would be amazing to see a Bollywood-themed pavilion. It’s quite an interesting start! I’m looking forward to seeing some of my favourite machines at the expo.”

Puneet Saluja, 23, a student, “A Bollywood-themed pavillion is an interesting idea. I’d really like to visit it. Watching John Abraham zip zapping down the roads in that Hayabusa was a great adrenaline rush for many of us and now to be able to see that bike in person will be a great experience. I can’t contain my excitement.”

Sugato Sen, deputy director general at Society of Indian Automobile Manufacturers (SIAM), one of the organisers, told us, “This is a special initiative. We are aware of the love people in India have for Bollywood. We would showcase the vehicles which have been featured in the iconic Bollywood movies and attained a cult status. We hope we will be able to strike a chord with the visitors and take their overall experience a notch higher.”
