Car recall just went high-end. Iconic carmaker Rolls Royce on Friday said it would recall its Ghost cars in India as part of a global precautionary measure against a fire hazard.

Cars manufactured between September 2009 and September 2010 are being recalled due to a faulty circuit board that can lead to overheating of the water pump, which can start a fire. The problem is similar to the one faced by Tata Nano.

A Ghost retails for over Rs 2.7 crore in India.

Fifty are being recalled in India, though the company didn't release official figures. Seventy Ghosts were sold in India last year.
