Shahid Kapoor’s Batti Gul Meter Chalu gets a new release date

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is directed by Shree Narayan Singh who previously directed Toilet Ek Prem Katha.

Actor Shahid Kapoor’s upcoming comedy-drama Batti Gul Meter Chalu, which was slated to release on August 31, will now hit the big screens on September 14 this year.

Shahid Kapoor is riding high on the success of Padmaavat.

The news was shared by film critic and trade analyst, Taran Adarsh, who tweeted, “#BattiGulMeterChalu to release on 14 Sept 2018... Stars Shahid Kapoor and Shraddha Kapoor... Directed by Shree Narayan Singh.”

Batti Gul Meter Chalu is about bringing the social issue of electricity shortage to the notice of people and to encourage authorities to investigate the inaccuracies of electricity bills.

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, the film also features Shraddha Kapoor and Yami Gautam in pivotal roles.
