The meteorological department has predicted that the intensity of rainfall will decrease gradually as all three monsoon systems active over Madhya Pradesh are getting weaker. However, another system is developing over the Bay of Bengal which may bring heavy rainfall in the state by July 26.
According to officials of the Regional Meteorological Centre, several places will witness rainfall and thundershowers in Indore and Hoshangabad except Neemuch and Mandsaur districts.
Bhopal and Neemuch, Mandsaur, Balaghat and Seoni districts may witness moderate to heavy rainfall at many places in next the 24 hours.
The MeT office has also released warning of heavy rainfall over Jhabua, Dhar, Alirajpur, Khandwa and Hoshangabad districts.
Bhopal witnessed shallow clouds that couldn't bring rainfall to the city. The MeT office has predicted shallow clouds, light rain and thundershowers in Bhopal in the next 24 hours. Temperature in Bhopal on Wednesday touched 32.2 degrees Celsius, two degrees above normal.
All 16 districts of the state have received above normal rainfall. Twenty-eight districts have received normal rainfall and seven have received less rainfall this monsoon to date. Districts receiving excess rain are Indore, Dhar, Khandwa, Ujjain, Mandsaur, Ratlam, Dewas, Shajapur, Morena, Gwalior, Guna, Ashoknagar, Bhopal, Sehore, Raisen and Rajgarh.
Districts which are rain deficient are Katni, Balaghat, Panna, Anuppur, Burhanpur, Sheopur and Sidhi, while districts which received normal rainfall are Jabalpur, Chindwara, Seoni, Mandla, Dindori, Narsinghpur, Sagar, Damoh, Tikamgarh, Chattarpur, Rewa, Singrauli, Satna, Shahdol, Umaria, Jhabua, Alirajpur, Khargone, Barwani, Neemuch, Agar-Malwa, Bhind, Shivpuri, Datia, Vidisha, Hoshangabad, Harda and Betul.
