The launch of telemedicines in 16 districts of Madhya Pradesh starting from August 15 would mean expert advice for patients from Khargone and Jhabua.
According to joint director, health Dr Sharad Pandit, this initiative is the introduction of futuristic medicine and technology in the state and is being started with the partnership of ISRO and CISCO.
Talking about the main aim of this programme he said, “The main motive of this programme is to provide health care and expert opinion to people in tribal and rural areas. These areas were chosen because of the absence of major health care facilities in these regions in case of emergency.”
Speaking about the services which this programme will provide Dr Pandit said, “From giving consultations and opinions on X-ray reports, sonography to referring special cases where operation is required, all kinds of expert advice will be given to ensure that these areas do not suffer because of being underdeveloped.”
Referring to this initiative as a bridge between remote tribal areas and developed advanced areas Dr Sharad Pandit said, “The programme is underway and we have already given the doctors the necessary training to proceed with work. Once it is launched, it will be of great help to the patients.”
