Till date, she has acted in around a dozen films, including Sarkar (2005) and Sarkar Raj (2008), which was her last major role. Tanishaa Mukerji has since tried her hand at other things such as theatre, and a regional film. Last year, she even ventured into production with Son of Sardaar (SOS) along with her brother-in-law Ajay Devgn.

Now we have come to know that SOS wasn’t just a one-off case. The duo is planning to come together again to collaborate on a new project soon. “Right now, she is caught up with her Marathi film’s post-production work. In spite of her busy schedule she has been hearing a number of scripts. She and Ajay have zeroed in on a few of them too, but since Ajay is busy with Prabhudheva’s next, the final decision will be taken once he is free,” says an industry insider close to the actor. “There’s no hurry at all. They want to make the best decision.”

When contacted, Tanishaa confirms this development, saying, “Yes, we are hearing a few scripts. Very soon, something should be finalised. Right now, he (Ajay) is busy with Action Jackson.”

Of late, Kajol’s younger sister has been busy with her theatre debut, in a play called The Verdict. And Tanishaa is finishing work on the Marathi film, produced by Akshay Kumar and Ashvini Yardi’s banner. But for the past couple of years, Tanishaa has not been active as far as films are concerned. Does this mean that she’s taking a break from acting? She clarifies that movies are still on her mind. “I would definitely do films. But I will do what I believe in. I like entertaining stuff, so the films have to be entertaining in nature. But I don’t want to take up anything in a hurry,” says the actor.
