I keep telling Kareena ‘Taimur ki nazar utaaro’: Veere Di Wedding actor Swara Bhasker
Actor Swara Bhasker, who is shooting for Veere Di Wedding in Delhi, shares her experience of working with Kareena Kapoor Khan for the first time, and meeting her little munchkin, Taimur.
Actor Swara Bhasker is on a roll. After delivering the critically-acclaimed films including Nil Battey Sannata (2016) and this year’s Anaarkali Ki Aarah, she is now gearing up for the much-awaited film Veere Di Wedding. Being shot in Delhi, it also stars Sonam Kapoor, Kareena Kapoor Khan and Shikha Talsania.
Though Swara has starred with Sonam earlier in Prem Ratan Dhan Paayo (2015), she is glad that she has got a chance to work with Kareena this time. “She is amazing, and such a magnetic person. She’s funny, entertaining, and such a great storyteller, who is always telling us funny anecdotes. But, at the same time, she’s a chilled out team player, doesn’t throw any celebrity tantrums, and has zero starry attitude.”
Besides Kareena, the actor is also smitten by the little munchkin, Taimur Ali Khan Pataudi, who is inarguably the most popular star kid in tinsel town right now. Swara reveals the one thing she always tells Kareena: “He’s everyone’s favourite. I keep telling her ‘Iski nazar utaaro’, because he gets too much public attention!”
Swara also recalls the first time she got to meet Taimur. “We all [the cast] are staying in the same hotel. While Taimur doesn’t come on the set, I was sprinting in the hotel lawns one day and saw Sharmila ji [Taimur’s grandmother] strolling him in the pram. It was such a cute surprise. It was a real honour to meet Sharmila ma’am.”
