With #15YearsOfAB trending on the social network, the 39-year-old Abhishek also tweeted, "Today I complete 15yrs in the film industry. Thank you all for the love and support. You guys are my inspiration and reason."

The Happy New Year star also thanked his 34-year-old co-star by tweeting, "Kareena (Bebo), thank you. My first ever co-star, friend and rabble rouser in the industry. You will always be a favourite."
Fans have also been posting pictures and collages from the actors' films.
Directed by J. P. Dutta, the tragic love story that gave platform to these then new-bees in the industry also starred Anupam Kher, Jackie Shroff and Sunil Shetty. It became the fifth highest grossing film of the year 2000 and won two national awards.
