Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane wants to try her hand at a period drama.

Pakistani actor Mawra Hocane, who made her Bollywood debut earlier this year with the film Sanam Teri Kasam, says that she would like to take up a period drama.

Actor Mawra Hocane says that she is reading scripts right now.

“I want to take up something like Umrao Jaan, basically period dramas. I love them on screen and it would be interesting to act in one,” says Mawra, who has been seen on Pakistani shows such as Yahan Pyaar Nahin, Mere Harjai and Gulon Mein Rang.

The actor is on the look out for interesting projects right now. “I am reading scripts at the moment and finalising details. I am open to working in all genres and don’t want to limit myself by looking for work in a particular type of film,” says Mawra.

The actor says that she doesn’t believe in planning too much as far as her career is concerned. “I don’t want to plan anything. I like to take things as they come, especially when it comes to my career. I just want to keep working. Be it films in India or abroad, I am willing to take up good work. I love Priyanka Chopra’s style of work and would love to follow her career path,” she says.
