When Karan Johar announced his next venture titled Student Of The Year, everyone was wondering where he would fit his muse Shah Rukh Khan. The film which will launch Mahesh Bhatt's daughter will also see SRK in a significant role.

Shah Rukh, who is co-producing the film, might play the role of a professor in the film.

KJo is taking a month long break to finish the script of the film and work on SRK's character, Mid-Day reported.

A source told the tabloid, "Rumours about SRK acting in KJo's next had been doing the rounds but Karan's constant silence about the film started giving people the impression that SRK was only planning to produce the film. SRK will play the role of one of the professors in the college. The role will not be limited to a cameo; it will be full-fledged one."

So all the rumours of Karan Johar abandoning his best friend Shah Rukh Khan can now be put to rest.
