Bollywood actor Twinkle Khanna has posted an adorable photo with her mother and actor Dimpla Kapadia on Twitter. Dimple is celebrating her 61st birthday on Friday. Twinkle captioned the photo, “Birthday lunch with the most beautiful woman in the world - She needs no filters and luckily doesn’t have one either #HappyBirthdayMother.”

Dimple was launched by legendary Raj Kapoor in 1973 film Bobby. Dimple was only 16 then. Her debut film received huge commercial success and she became a household name. Her very first film got Dimple the Filmfare Award for Best Actress.

However, she was already married to then Bollywood superstar Rajesh Khanna. They tied the knot six months before the release of Bobby.

Dimple went away from films after her marriage. Despite Bobby being a cult film, she didn’t have any other release till 1984. She and Rajesh separated during this time.

Twinkle was born in 1974. Dimple has another daughter Rinki Khanna.

Dimple was honoured with the National Film Award for Best Actress in 1993 for her performance in Rudaali. She was recently seen in Finding Fanny and Welcome Back.

As per reports, the actor’s much-talked-about film Drishti (1990), for which she received a lot of acclaim, is being restored by the Film Heritage Foundation. The negatives and prints of the film, also starring Shekhar Kapur and Irrfan Khan, had been ‘in a very poor condition’.
