Two birds with one stone
Director Apoorva Lakhia shot both the Hindi and the Telugu versions of his next film simultaneously, reports Shalvi Mangaokar.
While working on his upcoming film,, which will release in two languages, Hindi and Telugu, director Apoorva Lakhia had found a rather resourceful way to ensure that it wrapped up on time. We have been informed that the filmmaker shot both the versions simultaneously.
Ram Charan Teja and Priyanka Chopra star in both versions. However, Sanjay Dutt is playing Sher Khan in Zanjeer while Srihari is playing the role in the Telugu version, called Thoofan. A source informs, “Sanjay sir and Srihari both would come on the same day for the shoot, but their call time was different. Apoorva would first shoot with Sanjay sir and the rest of the cast. After the scene would be over, Sanjay sir would go back and Srihari would come on the sets and enact the same scene with the cast.” Both the version will release on the same day too, on September 6.
He continues, “We had scripts written in Hindi, Telugu and English and it needed a lot of planning and coordination as both the film’s scenes had to be shot on the same day. Sometimes, it did get confusing, but since Apoorva knew what exactly he wanted, it helped in speeding up the project.”
