When Diljit Dosanjh got mobbed in Melbourne

After making made a name for himself in the Punjabi film industry with movies such as Jatt And Juliet (2012) and Disco Singh (2014), Diljit Dosanjh is now set to make his Bollywood debut with Udta Punjab. Apart from that, the actor is also busy with his upcoming Punjabi film.

When Diljit recently visited Melbourne, Australia to shoot for it, he was greeted by several Sikh fans at the airport.

“Australia has a considerable Sikh and Punjabi population. People are aware of his work, and he has a good fan following there,” says a source, adding, “Many of them travelled from nearby towns to Melbourne for a glimpse of Diljit. The actor was surprised to see so many of them at the airport.”

The source further informs that Diljit took some time out to meet his well-wishers. “Though he couldn’t meet each and every fan, he almost spent an hour meeting and chatting with as many of them as possible,” says the source.

Diljit remained unavailable for a comment, but his spokesperson confirmed the news, saying, “When Diljit and the crew arrived at the airport, they were stunned to see a huge gathering outside. It took them a while to leave the airport as Diljit wanted to make sure he met his fans.”
