With recent blockbusters like Hellaro, Reva and Chaal Jeevi Laiye being critically acclaimed at national level, Gujarati cinema is capturing audience attention everywhere. With the widening scope of regional cinema in India, the possibility of Gujarati cinema professionals making a mark in the Hindi film industry in Mumbai is growing considerably.

Well, the name that could soon join these ranks is that of Gujarati casting director, Avani Soni. Soni could soon be casting for Hindi films in Mumbai. Still in early 20s, Avani is already an established name when it comes to finding talent for the Gujarati film industry.

Based in Ahmedabad, Avani is going places as far as her work in Gujarati films is concerned. Before joining the film industry, she was slogging it out in the corporate sector before she realised that her heart yearned for something beyond the usual 9-to-5 routine.

Once she began working for the film industry in Gujarat, Avani quickly learned the ropes and worked hard in finding the right talent for the right role. She worked hard and rose up the ranks. Today, her career boasts of notable films like Tamburo and Chhutti Jashe Chhakka. In fact Tamburo, which released in 2017, is one of the first multi-starrer Gujarati films ever made.

Her most ambitious project till date is the upcoming film, Love Ni Love Storys. The movie is set to release on January 31, 2020.

Avani is also the proud owner of FATC Entertainment, which was established in 2011. At FATC, she ensures that she gives only the deserving actors, a chance to prove themselves. In her own words, “Every talent should be given an opportunity. In such a huge country like India, many artists fail to make it because they lack contacts. We believe in bringing out the best in people and showing them their potential.”

Such clarity of thought at such a young age! It wouldn’t be a surprise if you soon hear that she will be casting for a big-budget Bollywood movie! More power to the girl!
